Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s Fun

Had an interesting time this weekend. Thursday the gear that I had ordered from Sweetwater came in and Friday Paul from the Tarpon Ice House asked me to do a spur of the moment gig so I set up and used all my own stuff and had a pretty good time Friday from around 6pm till 1am in the morning. Saturday afternoon was just to damn cold to play outside at Neptune’s Retreat so I bagged that. Saturday night I played again at the Tarpon Ice House to pretty much an empty house until FRIENDS showed up. Paul and his better half showed up from New Braunfuls and then the Lavins from San Antonio showed up with friends and a great time was had by all just jamming together. We had the best music in town and nobody knew about it. Sunday started out cold but then warmed up when the fire pit got started. Greg from La Playa had a party for all his employee’s and the party started…. Ended up being a pretty good night. Here are some of the pictures from Saturday night.

The Tarpon Ice House

Starting Friday the 16th of January 2009 I will be playing at the Tarpon Ice House.  If you are in the area stop on in and join the fun.  Music starts at 9:00pm and will quit when Paul tells me to.

My Belated New Years Resolution

My New Year’s resolution is to simply play more live music in 2009.  Check out the Gig page to see when and where I will be playing in the near future.  If your free come join me for some good old songs and a few new ones.  (more old than new)

Starting the New Year Out Right

Later today around 4 or 5pm I will be starting out  my New Year right by hosting the weekend “Garden Jam” at Neptune’s Retreat here in Port Aransas, Texas.  If you find yourself in the area stop on in and join us.  Joe’s grill will be stoked up and ready to cook your steaks (that’s right, bring your steak and Joe will cook it for you!) to your specific orders.  There is also a free potato bar to accompany your beef, pork, hot dogs or what ever you bring.  Come and enjoy the garden setting with music, food, ring game and a great time.

New Years Eve

Myself  and James Morris  had a great time New Years Eve at the “Tarpon Ice House” here in Port Aransas, Texas. Here are some of the shots of us playing some of D.O.G.’s great, great, grand-daughter along with a few of D.O.G. and some of the other people who joined in. The person who took the pictures was Jeff Brewer a new friend of mine.   I think he caught some good shots… I also added some pics taken by DeeDee on my camera,  here they are.
